  2. To provide efficient isolated sewage treatment facilities.
  3. To ensure private wastewater systems are regulated and monitored.
  4. To improve the sewage treatment efficiency through Research and Development (R&D).

QUALITY POLICY

Sewerage Services Department Sarawak is committed towards establishing an effective public sewerage system for the State of Sarawak.

To achieve this, Sewerage Services Department Sarawak adopts Total Quality Management principles for the implementation, operation and maintenance of public sewerage system.

SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY

Sewerage Services Department Sarawak is committed to:

  • Provide adequate control of safety and health risks arising from our work activities;
  • Consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
  • Provide safe systems of work;
  • Provide and maintain safe plant and equipment;
  • Ensure safe handling and use of substances;
  • Maintain safe transportation of articles;

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Sewerage Services Department Sarawak (SSDS) is committed towards operating efficient public sewerage system in compliance with Environmental Quality (Sewage) Regulations 2009.

To achieve this, SSDS practises effective Periodic Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PPM) works, effective sewage treatment plant operation and a well maintained sewer network.
