Industrial Training

| Sewerage Services Department Sarawak is one of the technical departments in the State that provides industrial training for diploma and degree students in Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering. |

| Objectives | |||
| The objectives of the industrial training programmes are: | |||
| 1. | To integrate theoretical knowledge and its application to the related field. | ||
| 2. | To strengthen knowledge, skills and mindset of the trainees. | ||
| 3. | To expose the trainees to work environment. | ||
| Training Programmes | |||
| The department has set up one (1) programme each for diploma and degree students. At the end of their training, they will present the training report to the department. |

| Evaluation | |||
| The department would evaluate the trainees’ performance based on their assignment and presentation. |
|||
| Requirements | |||
| 1. | The department will only admit two (2) trainees at a time. | ||
| 2. | The trainees must be Malaysian citizens pursuing diploma and degree course in Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering at any recognized institutions of higher learning. | ||
| 3. | The trainees must submit the following documents: | ||
| i. | A letter from the institutions of higher learning to confirm the need of the student to undergo industrial training. | ||
| ii. | An application letter from the students to the department for the industrial training. | ||

| Terms & Conditions | |||
| 1. | No financial assistance is provided for the industrial training. | ||
| 2. | Application must reach the department one month prior to the commencement of the industrial training. | ||
| 3. | Acceptance of offer by the trainees must be conveyed to the department within five (5) working days of the date of the letter of offer. | ||
